Alexa's room

I thought some of you might be interested to see Lexi's room at this place. There are these great shelves built in around the window. Could definitely see those getting filled up with stuff! The things on the wall are removable. I saw them on clearance at Target and thought they were a cute, easy, inexpensive way to brighten up her room. They have some shine, which I don't like. If they weren't so glossy they wouldn't look so much like "stickers." There are some near the door and over the changing table. When I stand or sit Lexi up on the changing table as I pick her up, she likes to scratch at them. Our little scratchy girl!

The new addition is the fabric shade. There is a mini blind. In the morning and during the day, even with it closed, it was pretty bright. This helps tone it down a bit and we got it, along with a simple cafe rod, for under $20. I was waiting because we are going to be moving again (supposedly! maybe next week it will be confirmed!), but I got tired of waiting. So it doesn't block all the light, but it tones it down a bit and I think it might help a little with the heat from the sun. I thought I might tie some wide ribbon on each end of the rod. We'll see.

You can see the white letters of Alexa Hope on the shelves. Someday I may paint them :).

Most days, though, the shade doesn't get tied up like this. Guess that is the down side of the ties. Keeping it closed keeps it a bit cooler, I think.

What a pretty room to play in, and soft carpet to go exploring on Lexi!
