About that pie...

Wow! Thanks everybody. I appreciate the compliments on the appearance of the pie. I was impressed myself, I must admit.
However, I must disappoint as I did not make the crust. I still have plans of trying out the pie crust recipe I received from my sister-in-law (thanks C!). It looks like it isn't too difficult. I just haven't done it.
The crust was from the refrigerated section at the grocery store. I think it was Pillsbury and came in a two-pack rolled up.
The recipe was from allrecipes.com

I think I followed the recipe pretty much exactly. One tip though. I read that when making a pie like this it is best to make it with plenty of time to cool and set up - like more than the 15 minutes it says. Also, the venting is very important for the liquid to bake off. Otherwise it can be very runny. Oh and I used foil on the edges for 30-40 minutes and then removed for the rest of the time.

Let me know if you try it! ENJOY!

Thought I would add some more photos just for fun!

Wow! Play-by-play! I'm still impressed. Pie crust from scratch is highly overrated. :)
