But on to the plaid. I put Lexi in the below pictured dress the Sunday morning we dropped David off at the airport. When we got home from church (after Lexi's first stay in the church nursery which was successful - meaning the number didn't go up on the little screen saying I had to go get her) I decided she should have some pictures taken in the adorable dress. She was getting very close to nine months, after all. And it's cute. Oh, by the way. This week in the church nursery was not successful. Our little number came up on the screen and I went to pick up our sobbing girl. Try again next week.
So I told David I took a bunch of pictures of Lexi in her green gingham dress. He said what? I said green gingham. He said what - you made that up - gingham. No I said. It's kind of like white and green checked. Oh that dress? So, it's plaid then. He just doesn't get it :). Oh well.

Ah, yes. Time to learn about patterns and fabrics, David. The four basics (denim, dress pants, knit shirt, dress shirt) don't swing it for female clothes. Gingham check (example here) is one of Sarah's favorites. So is tartan plaid (yes there are varieties). And it is also possible to have pants and shirt that match, but cannot be worn together because of the texture of the fabric. Who knew?
Love the photo gallery. So many different photos to help you remember (later, of course) what Lexi was like at 9 months. Very nice.
I like the wrinkly nose picture.
Lexi, you look like a little model in your pretty gingham dress. Grandpa especially liked the one of you lying on your back holding your foot with your thimb in your mouth. So ladylike! :)
Great photography, Kari!
OK Kari, so you can catch me on spelling now. Thumb NOT thimb, of course! :)
Lexi, you look like such a big girl with you lovely little teeth and a part in your hair!
