Rainy day

Happy moments in the rain.

We had a nice day today. After Lexi had a fun class at the gym - she was really enthusiastic the whole time - we stopped at the post office and had to wait in a line (surprise!). She did really well until the end, when she jetted to the door.

She is in this whole phase of not listening

ever.

And it was my turn. I had to run and get her. When I got to the window the lady said I needed to wait in line. I told her I did and she pointed out the line to me. She confirmed with the lady behind me that I was, indeed, next in line. That was a good thing. I think I would have lost it. Gone postal, as they say. Yeah, bad joke, I know.

Then we had a nice lunch, with Lexi being a very big girl with her booster seat up to the table, using her fork for her pasta and her spoon for her peas, most of the time.

We had a PlayDoh session after lunch, followed by a Curious George story on the couch. Nap time and mommy got some cleaning done.

Tonight we had wings with friends and now we are going to hang out together for the evening.

This is a good day.

I have much more to catch everyone up on (all of those out there that haven't given up on this blog forever :), but not tonight.

It may seem like so much to you, but we appreciate everything (anything), because it let's us into your lives and that's all we need :) Thanks ;)

YOU ARE NOT ALONE in the whole 'not listening phase!'...I wish I could say we were past it, but as Rilyn approaches 3 next month, we still face that challenge! She knows how to try our patience! :) Hang in there!
