Thanks to my bro K for this great shot of Lexi. He took this at my in-laws 40th anniversary lunch two weeks ago when we were back in the midwest.
Yesterday our beautiful, sweet, smart, lively, surprising, talkative, narrative, loving, fun little girl turned 2.
Alexa, We love you so much. We enjoy your observation, seeing things through your eyes. We cherish the joy you have in discovering and doing. We can't believe how quickly you learn and change and grow. You are our little girl. We can't what to see what you do or say next. Every day it's so much fun to look back and see what you have done.
A few weeks ago we had an early birthday celebration for Lexi with all the family back in the midwest. Today we had a great party with many of Lexi's little friends here. We have enjoyed some great celebrations of our little girl and the two years under her belt. Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate! I will share more about the party soon, but here is one photo of Lexi checking out her cake. She was so excited about it! Thanks to Jessi for the photo, and all the others she passed on to me.

I don't know what's cuter -- the cake or Lexi! Nice job on the cake, Kari. How'd you come up with the idea for a duck? What shape pans did you use? Or was it all free form?
