The Sunday after Christmas 2009
It's really unbelievable how quickly time has passed. After my last post time just flew by as we prepared for our first LONG family road trip (15hours each way - took 2 days with an overnight each way in Ann Arbor, MI, to stay with one of David's aunts), back to the Midwest, in November where we celebrated the wedding of David's younger sister and had a Thanksgiving gathering with both of our families combined in one big potluck dinner celebration. Lexi was a flower girl in the wedding - precious.

And we celebrated our 5 year anniversary in the van on the way back. We we fortunate to be able to renew our vows, something we have done every year, immediately after the wedding and photographer captured this and the pastor prayed with us. We were going to have the pastor who did our wedding renew our vows with us, but after the powerful wedding message we asked if the pastor who performed the wedding would do it. He was happy to do it. Our parents were there, along with Lexi and our nephew, Ben, who was our ring bearer. It was wonderful.

When we returned we had a great visit from a good friend. I was so thankful to get to spend so much great time hanging out and talking. It had been such a long time and it was like no time had passed at all, although, we of course had a lot to talk about. And Lexi loved playing with Miss Kristen. Thanks for coming Kristen!
