A trip down the boardwalk

The next day, Lexi and I hopped on the train that drives down the middle of the boardwalk and rode all the way down to the end (past 1st street and we were at 24th street). I packed our lunch and we ate it on the train as we watched all the people, the beach and the practice flights for the air show.

At the end of the boardwalk, down near the inlet, there are all kinds of rides and shops and arcade type places. Lexi wanted to get in the hummer and I was about to put in quarters...

Yeah, she didn't need it to be on. She didn't even know it could be. She just pushed that buttons and turned the wheel.

On the way down the boardwalk I saw that Marines were set up with a pull up bar and there was no one there. There were all kinds of booths set up because of the air show. I thought it would be awesome to have a photo of Lexi hanging from the bar for David so we walked back that far before getting back on the train. When we got to the booth there were a lot of people waiting in line. This guy took his daughter up to try a pull up and they said she couldn't do it. I assume it's some liability thing so I just didn't ask. I did try to take a photo of Lexi by the Marine hummer. That didn't work out. It was scary. It had loud, booming music coming from it. Ah well.

Later on that day, feeding the birds. Nothing made her happier! She would yell at the birds, "Down!" and motion with her arm when they were flying all around. And you can imagine the pile of little bread pieces at the base of the wall she was on. Her bread didn't get very far and those birds were not going to come that close to us!

We experienced the same 'coin or no coin' issue at the outlets. Put him in it and quickly realized that 'turning it on' wasn't necessary! Oh to be child-like again where things like that don't matter!
