The end of June, Lexi had her follow up appointment at the pediatric dentist. I don't remember if I ever mentioned the first appointment. Back in May she fell in the bathtub. She hit her two front teeth, chipping the bottom edges. From what we could tell, there was no other damage and she wasn't bleeding or anything. And I know the stories about one of my older brother's teeth - he fell on them multiple times, pushing them up in the gums (they came back down), flat against the roof of his mouth (they came back down), and probably more. Still, I wanted to have them checked. Usually they don't see kids this young at the dentist, so I was glad to have a good referral in town. Dr. Newman is wonderful with her and Lexi handled it really well. The first time, she wouldn't get in the chair, so she was on our laps. At the follow up she sat in the chair just fine. I'm not saying she didn't get upset, but she wasn't hysterical and was fine as soon as she was done looking at her teeth and she got to sit back up. That's pretty good in my book.
It helps that she got bracelets and stickers and a little bag to open and close. That definitely helps.

Ok... your brother is clearly a daredevil! And now I am afraid of having a boy... boys are scary!
Glad to hear she handled the dentist well ;~)
