I mentioned before that Easter weekend was a sick weekend, but we still tried to celebrate. We didn't end up going to an egg hunt, which is probably fine but would have been fun. I was at urgent care Saturday morning and it was raining. We did do a little hunt at home on Sunday. We put a cute dress on Lexi and she found her 5 eggs filled with yummy treats in various popular locations. We put them in her cupboard in the kitchen, on her highchair, in Baby Stella's bathtub, things like that where we could give her a definite clue. She found them very quickly and enjoyed partaking in the treats inside. She hasn't had candy so they were things she finds yummy for snacks. Then she got her baskets. We had one with some more animals for her Little People Noah's Ark, stickers, etc. and then there was one from my parents they sent for her. She enjoyed that, of course. We also did some egg decorating, which she helped with. She helped by choosing the dye color to put the egg in and then she got to put stickers on them when they dried. She didn't seem to mind that she didn't get to do it all herself. We were going to go to our friends house for Easter dinner, but that didn't happen. David decided that just in case, and also because pie is yummy, to go ahead and make a pie. It ended up the rhubarb was gone at the store so he made a simple, very yummy strawberry pie and it was great! He also made a quiche I was going to make for us for the weekend and that turned out yummy, as well. David was so great, doing everything so I could rest. It was a good thing because I was pretty worthless, even medicated. Bronchitis really stinks. Then on Monday we got the same diagnosis for Lexi. The recovery has been long. We have had a few pajama days and been a bit isolated, but we are getting back out there.
A pajama day.

Enjoying a prize of the hunt.

Stickers!
