Weight check!
Today was Alexa's weight check. It's been hard not to worry if she is getting enough to eat. She hasn't been eating for very long at a time and Kari talked to a lactation consultant yesterday - sounded like she should really be eating a lot longer at a time. HOWEVER, today she weighed 8 LBS. 8 OZ.! Last Friday, when she was 3 days old she was at 7 lbs. 10 oz. WOW! Mommy and daddy are VERY happy! Keep it up little one. Kari is still probably going to meet with this lady to make sure that no problems arise later on, but this is very good news!

Must be the high fat content in that mama's milk. Guess it just doesn't take that much!

I prefer to say that Momma is high octane.
Oh, and I think she stores a little extra fuel in her chubby cheeks.
We're glad to hear she's doing so well! I remember the same fears with Jake as we couldn't BF for the first few days and he didn't like the bottle. She sounds to be on the same track as him . . . 10lbs by 2 weeks! As our Pediatrician says . . . "Mommy Haggen Daas" is the best!
