We have had a few firsts in the last couple of days. Yesterday David was able to get us invited to a barbeque across the street. This put Alexa in the loudest environment she had ever been in - we are talking lots of people, food, football and movies on TV, a pool table and karaoke. She handled it really well - even slept most of the time - although we believe some of the fussiness last night was just decompression from the overstimulation. Today we took her to church for the first time. She also handled this very well. She was wide eyed for a while feeling the music and taking it all in - then slept the rest of the time. The biggest first of the day, though, has to be her very first diaper blow out! Now, she had leaked before, but nothing like this. The cute outfit pictured above went straight into the washer, along with the blanket she was wrapped in and the boppy cover she was sitting on. Wow! We did recover.
