Tonight, as I was getting dinner ready, Lexi spotted one of the many stink bugs that has found it's way into our house. If you aren't familiar, they are horribly annoying, buzzing around, running into things, and have a distinct odor when you smash them. Our garbage smells, well, bad. Anyway, tonight a stink bug was taking a trek around the molding by the ceiling in the kitchen. Lexi decided it was probably looking for some food. She proceeded to follow it around the kitchen, offering up a wide variety of her play food for it to eat. Such a kind heart. I would have just smashed it if I could have reached it. :)
After dinner, at Daddy's request we had some family dance time. Usually he requests this when he has listened to some music in the car on the way home that reminds him of how much he loves his wife and daughter - lucky us! He put on the music, we danced and Lexi ran around us in circles! Soon she was a helicopter and as I followed her with my arms out to fly like her, tears started streaming. I love my husband and my daughter. I love that they are my day to day, no matter what.

Awww…so sweet.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I read this blog. Thank you for loving my son so much; it is what every mother must pray for.
Your other mother.
