Focus

We are often trying to get Lexi to focus. Focus on eating. Focus on getting dressed. Focus on the task. She is constantly distracted because she is 2 1/2 and because she is my daughter. It's true. Today when she got up from her nap, she was sitting and coloring with the current favorite red crayon. I received some baby spider plants and I planted one in her little flower pot during her nap. I called her to the other room to show it to her. She looked at it, touched the leaves, looked out the window, and then said, "I need to focus on coloring now." and walked out of the room. What an exit.
