While our family and a lot of our friends sit with inches or feet of snow around them, we headed to the beach on Sunday. We went to Dillon Beach which is north of the bay. It was in the 60's and we walked along the beach, taking several pictures. We found starfish, mussels and sea anemone (we think!). After freezing our feet off in the water (ow!) we sat down on a blanket and had some snacks (and pda), listening to the waves. We then took the long way home, driving down Hwy 1 past coastline and marshlands. At one point Hwy 1 was closed so our trip was extended by a jaunt over a mountain. This resulted in some great pictures on the way up the mountain and a longer evening than we had planned. Eventually we did make it back and we felt pretty adventurous with the cliff next to the road and the giant trees on our little detour. Check out
