Success!

I'm so far behind now I don't know if I will ever do the blog entries to catch up. I decided I should go ahead and move forward, though. We have some exciting things to tell!

Monday night we had a couple that we are friends with babysit Lexi. We were gone for almost 5 hours! This is the first time we have had a babysitter. She stayed with each set of her grandparents once for a couple hours. We were so afraid she was not going to take milk and go to bed, but they did it!

It was a lot of fun for us. We went to the birthday celebration of one of David's co-workers at Marrakesh in Washington, D.C. Authentic Moroccan. You could barely tell if you were at the right place from the outside. The sign was Arabic cut out of metal and there were two large metal doors that don't open from the outside. The door on the right had a smaller door cut out. When we knocked they opened the smaller door and we stepped inside. Then they led us back to the eating room. It was a large room with many little seating enclaves. Low seats with cushions and pillows. Little tables where they placed the large plate for each of the 7 courses. We began with hand washing - warm water poured out of a pot at the table by our server. We each had a napkin - a hand towel - on our lap. And no silverware! We did get spoons with the couscous. The food was delicious. The servers wore Moroccan garb. There was a belly dancer, too! It was an awesome experience and David and I needed to go hang out sans our sweet Lexi. It was the latest we had been out in a long time (minus plane travel :). We didn't take a camera, but are hoping to get some photos from some other people soon.

Here is their website if you are curious. It will be slow on dial up, though. There is an intro video.
